Macao Gaming Show unveils ambitious subsidy scheme

The Macao Gaming Show has unveiled an ambitious travel subsidies and grants package for visitors attending this year's exhibition at the Venetian Macao.

The package aims to encourage industry professionals to come to Macau and explore opportunities in the city and at the exhibition.

“This year's subsidy scheme for Qualified Buyers has been designed to help buyers from all over the world come to Macau and explore all the business opportunities available both in Macau and throughout Asia,” said Marina Wong, event director and general manager at MGS.

“The show is expanding into exciting new areas with gaming sitting at the heart of a tourism, culture and entertainment exhibition that is simply a one-stop show for Asia,” she added.

The range of support initiatives include a dedicated 'Helpdesk' at the Macao Gaming Show offices to assist visitors with the programme. The advice includes how to complete the subsidy forms, what information to keep and forward, how to apply and an explanation of the criteria.

“We think the Qualified Buyers Scheme is a major asset to the show," said Wong.

The subsidy can be made by visitors before the show through presentation of boarding passes and other documents to the MGS offices. The show will run from November 17 to 19.
