Macau Canidrome owners seek alternatives

The owners of Macau greyhound racing concessionaire Macau (Yat Yuen) Canidrome Co Ltd hope to use the Canidrome for other purposes, TDM radio cited SJM Holdings executive director Angela Leong On Kei as saying.

Leong said shareholders envisage using the stadium for family gatherings, cultural events or events for teenagers.

A company founded by Leong’s husband,  Stanley Ho Hung Sun, is commonly thought to be the biggest shareholder in the greyhound racing concessionaire, the report said.

The government is considering the future of dog racing in Macau.
