Macau hotel allegedly selling work permits to mainlanders

Macau police are investigating an allegation that a hotel in Macau is selling work permits, known as blue cards, to mainlanders in order to make it easier for them to enter the city to gamble, local media reports.

Judiciary Police officers said they apprehended a mainlander holding a blue card which falsely identified him as a cleaner at the hotel. The mainlander admitted to having bought the blue card from the hotel in order to come to Macau on gambling trips.

The hotel name was not revealed by police during the press conference.
