Macau Slot reports 13.6 increase in net income in 2015


Macau Slot Co Ltd, a betting concessionaire in Macau, recorded net income of MOP 138.4 million (US$17.3 million), according to an annual report published on Wednesday.

According to the report, net income increased 13.6 percent year-on-year compared to 2014, with net profit at MOP 121.8 million.

In 2014, the sports betting monopoly recorded net income of MOP 121.83  million, up by nearly MOP 20 million from the year before due to increased betting on World Cup 2014 activities, with sports lottery bets on football raking in MOP598 million for the year, up from MOP419 million.

The concession contract for Macau slot was extended at the beginning of June until June 5, 2021.
