Macau visitor arrivals down marginally in October

Total visitor arrivals to Macau totalled 2.63 million in October, down marginally by 0.6 percent year-on-year and up 9.2 percent month-on-month. 

Same-day visitors totalled 1.41 million, 53.6 percent of the total and down 3.8 percent year-on-year, while overnight visitors rose by 3.3 percent to 1.22 million.

Visitors from Mainland China edged down by 0.4 percent YoY to 1.81 million with those travelling under the Individual Visit Scheme dropping slightly by 0.8 percent to 791,784.

Visitors from Japan amounted to 22,188; the Philippines, 22,037 and Taiwan, 83,462, increases of 1.4 percent, 4.2 percent and 5.6 percent respectively YoY.
