Macau visitors up 9.2 pct in October

Macau visitors for the month of October surged 9.2 percent year-on-year, according to data from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC).

Visitors from Mainland China increased 12.1 percent year-on-year to 2.3 million in October. Meanwhile, visitors from Korea and Taiwan dropped by 25.2 percent and 3.9 percent respectively.

Visitors from Hong Kong rose 9.3 percent year-on-year, as well as visitors from U.S., Australia, and U.K.

The October results brought the first ten months of 2018 to 29 million visitors, up 8.4 percent year-on-year compared to the same period in 2017.
