Macau’s major casino operators launch “Macau loves locals” campaign

Macau’s six leading casino resort operators have joined forces to offer exclusive special deals to local residents as part of a corporate social responsibility initiative.

Covering a wide-range of non-gaming offerings, Macau Loves Locals features award-winning luxury hotel rooms, family-friendly shows and entertainment, refreshing spas, world-renowned Michelin-starred restaurants, and many other non-gaming elements.

This new programme is exclusive to both permanent and nonpermanent residents of Macau.

Available from Feb. 23 to Mar. 31, 2016, the city-wide promotion offers local residents the chance to enjoy non-gaming facilities at all hotels and resorts operated by Galaxy Entertainment Group, Melco Crown Entertainment, MGM China Holdings Limited, Sands China Ltd., Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, S.A. (SJM) and Wynn Macau Limited.

The campaign is a corporate social responsibility initiative of the six operators, as a way to give back to the community.

"It was an honor to be invited to the press conference for the Macau Loves Locals campaign co-organised by the six operators today," said Lionel Leong Vai Tac, Macao SAR Secretary for Economy and Finance. "I am very pleased to see the six operators supporting government directions and coming together for this first-of-its-kind campaign. This joint promotion gives Macao locals the opportunity to enjoy unprecedented special offers on a wide range of non-gaming offerings which include hotel accommodation, entertainment and dining for a limited period, rewarding them with this promotion while at the same time promoting the development of the non-gaming sector in the city."

The Macau Loves Locals campaign is an unprecedented campaign in Macau, offering limited-time special offers to residents. This campaign has also received full support from the Macau SAR Government, with the aim to showcase the charm and diversity of Macau to local residents.
