Melco Philippines subsidiary changes name

The Philippines-based subsidiary of Melco Resorts & Entertainment has announced it has changed its name to Melco Resorts and Entertainment (Philippines) Corporation.

Previously known as Melco Crown (Philippines) Resorts Corporation, the company is the operator of the City of Dreams Manila resort, located in Entertainment City in Manila.

Its stock ticker has changed from MCP to MRP, with both changes taking effect on May 22, 2017.

The rebranding does not come as a surprise, given Melco Crown Entertainment’s name change to Melco Resorts and Entertainment in March.
