MiGS 2015 ‘delivers on all its promises’ say organizers

Over 430 attendees gathered for the seventh installment of the Malta iGaming Seminar (MiGS), held at the Corinthia Hotel in Malta, the event was a unique blend of high-level business networking and fun.

Tuesday, Nov. 17th, saw the launch of the conference, with welcoming remarks delivered by the Hon. Chris Cardona, the Minister of the Economy, Investment and Small Business and Joe Cuschieri, head of the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA). In his speech, Cuschieri spoke of the adaptations that the MGA is making to stay ahead of the curve as a licensing jurisdictions.

Sue Schneider, a igaming expert and organiser of the show, was thrilled with the outcome of the event. "I can say, without a doubt, that we were very pleased with the outcome of MiGS.  We had 435 attendees and 45% of them came from some 25 countries around the world so it was truly global in scope.  A number of key topics were discussed including the Increasing Cost of Doing Business which is crippling the bottom line of a number of companies.  Delegates were exposed to information on new licensing regimes in Europe as well as new products such as eSports and Daily Fantasy Sports.  One of the highlights was a Century of iGaming panel which included industry veterans: Calvin Ayre, founder of Bodog; Pontus Lindwall, founder of NetEnt and Bettson; Franz Wohlfahrt of Novomatic; Mark Blandford, founder of SportingBet and Paris Smith, CEO of Pinnacle Sports."

"We’ve received great feedback on the speakers, the topics and the networking events which were ample and a lot of fun.  We’ve set tentative dates for Nov 15-18, 2016 and will be fine-tuning based on the suggestions that we receive from our attendees." she added.
