Morpheus opening and Dragon Boat weekend boosts June GGR

Bernstein analysts are expecting GGR in the month of June to increase by 21 to 22 percent year-on-year, according to their latest channel checks.

Last week, ADR was 15 percent above the similar period last year, helped by a positive Morpheus opening and the Dragon Boat Festival long weekend.

Bernstein says it was more than enough to offset the negative impacts of the UnionPay crackdown and the World Cup on ADR.

Assuming a GGR ADR of MOP 730 - MOP 750 million (US$90.3 million to $92.8 million) for the remaining days of the month, Bernstein says it expects June GGR to reach MOP 24.2 to MOP 24.4 billion.
