Nagasaki International University mulls IR management course

It has been revealed that Nagasaki International University in Sasebo is mulling the establishment of an IR management course as a human resources development accompaniment to the anticipated Huis Ten Bosch IR.

The university’s initiative comes at the prodding of the Nagasaki Prefectural Government, which reportedly asked the university last October to begin thinking about how it might support the local IR bid.

A study committee consisting of faculty members from the International Tourism Department sought opinions from multiple interested businesses, and some members visited IRs and universities in Macau.

If the course is established, the earliest date would be FY2022.
