Non PhilWeb e-games sites operating under strict supervision

Online gaming stations in the Philippines that are not running on PhilWeb Corp.’s systems are able to continue operations, but are under tight supervision, local media cited the local regulator as saying.

“They have legal basis. They complied with all the requirements, Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. chair Andrea Domingo was cited as saying.

Sites using Insta-Win or IEST software are being monitored to ensure they limit operating hours to a maximum of 15 hours a day and are spaced at least 300 meters apart.

The incoming president, Rodrigo Duterte, launched a crackdown on domestic online gambling shortly after taking power. As a result, the license of the country’s biggest operator of e-gaming cafes, Philweb, was not renewed.
