Okada Manila August revenue up on VIP growth

Universal Entertainment announced that Okada Manila saw a rise in gross gaming revenue in August 2019, driven by a boost in its VIP business.

VIP table games revenue went from P 790 million to approximately P2.0 billion in August 2019, more than a 150 percent increase year-on-year.

Mass table games and gaming machine revenue also showed strong growth in the month, rising 27.7 percent and 33.9 percent respectively.

Last month, Universal Entertainment said Okada Manila is opening more hotel rooms to accommodate visitors.

The property opened in December 2016 and is the largest IR in Manila’s Entertainment City district, covering 44 hectares. Universal said several rooms in the Coral Wing (Tower B) were now in operation, which should enable it to attract more customers. It didn’t specify how many rooms it had added.
