Package tour visitors down 3.3 percent in July

Visitors on package tours to Macau fell around 3.3 percent year-on-year in July, according to information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC).

The drop was due mainly to a decrease in package tour visitors from Mainland China, down 7.5 percent year-on-year to 611,000, whilst those from Korea (49,000) and Taiwan (63,000) rose by 30.6 percent and 59.4 percent, respectively.

In the first seven months of 2018, visitors on package tours totaled 5.0 million, up by 10.7 percent year-on-year.
