Paradise Co. net income down nearly 50 percent in 15Q3

Paradise Co Ltd, which operates five foreigners-only casinos in South Korea, reported 15Q3 net income attributable to shareholders of KRW12.33 billion ($10.8 million), a 46.4 percent drop from the prior year period.

Casino sales dipped 17.3 percent year-on-year to KRW142.78 billion, though was better than the preceding quarter by 16.4 percent. Net profit for the period was down 2.5 percent.

Paradise, which operates casinos Walkerhill and the Jeju Grand, said that in October table game sales amounted to KRW64.12 billion compared with KRW49.94 billion in the same month last year.
