PJ takes down fake VIP room

Macau’s Judiciary Police raided a fake VIP gaming room in Nape on Wednesday, arresting 19 gang members, according to a PJ press conference on Thursday.

Judiciary Police (PJ) spokeswoman Yeung Sau Chan, who was quoted by Macau News, said the gang operated out of a hotel guest room in the city centre.

During the raid, PJ officers seized counterfeit gaming chips with a purported value of more than HK$70 million (US$9 million).

The suspects are still under questioning.
