PM mulls allowing local entry to Ho Tram

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc reportedly met with his advisors on Tuesday about potentially allowing locals to enter the casino at Grand Ho Tram.

Augustine Vinh, president of Stellar Management, revealed the fact during a panel session focusing on locals gambling on Tuesday at the G2E Asia conference.

A decision on the matter is likely to be reached over the next few days, he says. The prime minister will put his recommendation to the Politburo, which is responsible for making a final decision.

The PM’s meeting comes ahead of his trip to Washington to meet US President Donald Trump.
