Poker civil revision petition adjourned until April by Delhi High Court

A civil revision petition initiated by Gaussian Networks Pvt. Ltd, the operator of Adda52.com was adjourned to 21st April 2016 by Justice Indermeet Kaur of the Delhi High Court.

Justice Kaur noted that the appearance of the Counsel for the National Capital Territory of Delhi was required. Since the counsel for the government was unavailable which was important in order to understand cases quoted in the government’s affidavit, the matter was adjourned without passing a conclusive verdict.

Earlier in 2012, a Delhi District court had noted that online poker did not involve skill and therefore could not be permitted. The order was challenged by Gaussian Networks Pvt. Ltd., a party to the matter in the Delhi High Court and has been pending conclusive determination since that time.
