Raising The Bar

TransAct looks forward to joining with their colleagues, their partners and casinos from around the globe as they present their industry-leading printer and software solutions.

“TransAct remains laser-focused on raising the bar with our gaming products,” said Tracey Chernay, senior vice president of Global Casino and Gaming at TransAct. “We are confident that our products make a tremendous difference in the industry, and we are eager to showcase our ‘Epic’ line at G2E once again.”

Among TransAct’s displayed products is Epic Edge, which is the newest in TITO printers. Thanks to its 300 DPI print resolution, the “Edge” offers more than twofold improvement in image quality over current industry options. This high-resolution provides a nearly unlimited array of characters of multiple languages to fit the needs of casinos worldwide.

At the same time, the Epic Edge creates razor-sharp barcodes for better ticket acceptance and reduced attendant calls, driving measurable improvement in casino performance and allowing slot and table operations to run at peak efficiency. The Epic Edge also produces eye-catching, dynamic graphic images, making it ideal for implementation alongside applications such as Epicentral, TransAct’s bonusing software system.

The printer also allows for firmware updates via a full-speed USB 2.0 connection or directly via a micro SD card, making the process of updating firmware speedier and more convenient than ever. In addition, the Epic Edge is fully equipped with serial and USB interfaces that are all conveniently built into a single board. By incorporating all interfaces into one board, casino operators reduce costs by only inventorying a single printer, for any game.

Additional features include a single rugged outer chassis with color-coded rails, a hot-swap capability to eliminate game downtime, a faster ServerPort connection and an adjustable ticket bucket that accommodates standard and smaller, paper-saving tickets to work with ecological programs being implemented in casinos.

The company will also feature Epic 950, which is the industry standard for TITO printing. TransAct’s Epic 880 will also be a highlight, as it is the preferred roll printer that is incorporated into all the leading sports betting kiosks. Known for its reliability and flexibility, the Epic 880 is used extensively across gaming sectors where the most dependable, robust product is required.

TransAct invites G2E attendees to visit booth #2423.
