Reed Exhibitions launches G2E Asia 2016 at press conference

At a press conference yesterday at Pacha, Studio City, senior representatives of Reed Exhibitions and their partners launched the 2016 edition of G2E Asia. Being held from 17-19 May 2016 at the Venetian Macao, this year's event marks the tenth anniversary of the show.

With the 2015 show being the largest on record, with a total of 9,867 visitors from 79 countries, the organizers are off to a strong start for this year.

Josephine Lee, executive vice president for Reed Exhibitions Greater China, announced that they had already secured 180 exhibitors, 25 percent of which are new. 80 percent of these exhibitors are coming from outside of Macau, and there is a 36 percent increase in the number of iGaming exhibitors this year, highlighting the importance of that sector, which will also benefit from a dedicated one day iGaming Summit during the main congress on May 19.

Lee confirmed that they would once again be holding the successful G2E Asia IT & Business Solutions One2One Event to meet the needs of forward-looking casino and integrated resort operators.

Another popular event from last year will be making an appearance again - the All Asia Dealers Championship (AADC), organized by Asia Gaming Brief, which will once more showcase the talents of the best dealers from across Asia in a high-octane tournament spanning three days. The AADC will be held at a specially-built arena mirroring the casino floor and will pick winners in each of three games - Baccarat, Blackjack and Roulette - as well as an overall Best Team and Best Dealer.

Recognizing the need to keep pace with fast-changing industry trends, the organizers have also added a number of new elements to the show this year, such as the Macau Pavilion, which will facilitate the development of inbound and outbound business opportunities.

Also new for 2016 will be the Macau Retail Summit since this is such an important complementary industry for Macau, which will focus on ways that the customer experience can be enhanced.

Another new addition to the show which is sure to attract the attention and excitement of the industry is the Asia Gaming Awards, which will be organized by Asia Gaming Brief in conjunction with Reed Exhibitions and The Innovation Group. Designed to recognize the achievements of of operators, suppliers, regulators and service providers for their outstanding contributions to the industry, the AGAwards will also select 18 high potential young Asian gaming executives for their talent and potential to mould the industry in the coming years. The 18 under 48 is produced in conjunction with the The Innovation Group and G2E’s Emerging Leaders program. Industry veteran David Green has been confirmed as the chairman of the judging panel, and an Awards dinner will be held during the show.
