Robert Rankin resigns from Crown board


Former chairman of Crown Resorts Ltd, Robert Rankin, has resigned as a director of the company, according to a Wednesday filing to the ASX.

In February, Mr. Rankin stepped down as chairman of Crown Resorts, replaced by executive deputy chairman John Alexander.

Rankin also stepped down as CEO of Consolidated Press Holdings at the time.

Commenting on his departure, Rankin said: “It has been an honour to have served on the Crown Resorts board. The company remains one of Australia’s most valuable tourism operators.”

“I am proud of the direction that Crown Resorts is taking and my role in its development.”

Mr. Rankin in February said he will be returning to london “for the foreseeable future.”
