Russia considers increasing gambling taxes tenfold

Russia’s Ministry of Finance has reportedly proposed an increase on gambling tax up to ten times the current rate, according to a local source quoted by Kommersant.
The Ministry has also suggested taxing online sports betting operators up to 10 percent of online gambling revenue, according to the Russian newspaper.
The bill containing these proposals is expected to be finalized by Dec. 2016.
