Saipan issues provisional license to Korean junket

Saipan’s gaming regulator has issued a provisional license to Korea-based junket operator, Big Bang Entertainment, local media reports.

The provisional license was issued by the Commonwealth Casino Commission on August 11, 2016 to Du Young Jang who owns Big Bang Entertainment LLC, and will expire on August 31, 2017.

Deleon Guerrero, executive director of the Commonwealth Casino Commission said most of Big Bang Entertainment’s clients are from South Korea and Japan.

The junket operator is set to provide services to Saipan casino operator, Imperial Pacific International Holdings Ltd - the firm behind Saipan’s Best Sunshine Live temporary casino, and the upcoming Imperial Pacific Resort and Hotel.

According to the Marianas Variety, there are about 18 more junket operator license applications waiting for the commission’s approval.
