Sihanoukville opens its first luxury mall

The Cambodian coastal town of Sihanoukville, home to a number of integrated resort developments, has opened its first shopping mall on Monday.

Backed by a local company - Furi Corporation, and with investment funding from Macau and Hong Kong, the 6,000 sqm FURI Times Square project cost is pegged at $10 million.

The luxury mall has four stories and will house the city’s first movie theatres and sky bar.

“FURI Corporation is proud to be part of the evolution of Sihanoukville and shaping the cityscape with one of the first high-end shopping malls and entertainment complexes on the Kingdom’s coast,” Donald Lee, public relations officer at FURI Corporation, said.

Mr. Lee said FURI Times Square will cater to the massive tourism growth in the city and demand for globally recognized brands and franchises.

The mall will feature a number of international brands including Starbucks, Nike, Under Armor and G-Shock.
