Sihanoukville to shut down over expired license

A Sihanoukville casino has been ordered to shut down by provincial authorities after it failed to renew its operating license, local media reports.

According to local media, a document dated on October 12 has ordered the closure of Pao Tu casino, stating the casino's license had expired as of the end of 2015.

The document also added that the casino owner should apply for a new license from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and that it would need to find a new location approved by the relevant authorities if it wished to still operate in the province.
