SJM chief executive officer expects a volatile year ahead


SJM Holding Ltd chief executive officer Ambrose So Shu Fai expects this year to be volatile for business, Lusa reports.

The chief executive officer, quoted at a Lunar New Year gathering, said “the year of the goat ... was a difficult period for both regional economies and the gaming industry.”

 “We are going to need the agility and the intelligence of the monkey to deal with this volatility, which may impact on consumer markets as well as the financial markets,” So added.

During the sidelines the dinner at the Grand Lisboa, So also remarked to Radio Macau that SJM's new Cotai project will be branded Grand Lisboa Palace, the property was previously referred to as ‘Lisboa Palace’. "The Lisboa is a very strong branding, so we say this is the Grand Lisboa Palace,” said So.
