SkyCity's Adelaide Resort to be called Eos

SkyCity’s new hotel and casino in Adelaide is to be named after Eos, the goddess of the dawn in Greek mythology.

Eos by SkyCity Adelaide General Manager Jodi Brown says the name Eos has even more significance following an incredibly challenging period for hotel, hospitality and tourism operators: “Eos is an embodiment of hope and optimism. We are incredibly optimistic that the tourism industry will recover, and we are looking forward to Eos by SkyCity playing an important role in bringing visitors back to South Australia when the time is right.”

In the company’s media release the new resort is described as “a completely unique luxury offering in the Adelaide hotel market with a suite of signature experiences offered to guests including in-room styling, post-flight treatments, personal training, and an on-call mixologist providing an in-room custom cocktail service.”

The 12 story, A$330 million (US$208 million) is due to open later this year, and “in addition to the 120 room luxury hotel, there will also be new restaurants and bars, conference and event facilities, a spa and wellness centre and expanded gaming experiences.”
