Star Vegas VIP rolling chip turnover up 43 percent in September quarter

Boutique casino operator Donaco International announced that its VIP rolling chip turnover at Star Vegas Resort and Club casino in Poipet, Cambodia, grew 43 percent in the ‘September quarter’ to approximately A$1.30 billion ($941.7 million) compared to the same period last year.

The Star Vegas, which consists of 4 hotels with 385 rooms in and has 139 gaming tables, saw its actual net revenue from table games amount to AUD20.64 million, and from slot machines, AUD10.35 million in the September quarter, which is also the first quarter of the company’s new financial year. Total actual net revenue for the period was AUD31.63 million, up 28 percent year-on-year.

“Transformational acquisition of Star Vegas Resort & Club has led to a dramatic increase in the size and scale of Donaco, and will provide strong accretion in earnings per share, as well as significant diversification benefits,” the company said.

Earlier this year Donaco signed an agreement with Heng Sheng Group, a Macau VIP gaming promoter, to bring its VIP players to the Star Vegas, along with also being appointed as the exclusive casino resort partner of Manchester United football team.

“The new deals with Manchester United and Heng Sheng Group are driving further growth in FY16,” the company said.
