Studio City Event Center unveiled to over 8,500 employees

Melco Crown Entertainment unveiled its Studio City Event Center to over 8,500 employees last week at three staff rallies. 

The rally was officiated by MCE’s co-chairman and CEO Lawrence Ho, COO Ted Chan and other senior company executives.

More than 8,500 employees joined the rally to cheer the countdown of the grand opening of Studio City, which will see a performance by American singer Mariah Carey.

 “Born with Melco Crown Entertainment’s unique innovative DNA, the epic stage of Studio City is going live. It will be under the world’s entertainment spotlight and revolutionize Macau’s tourism landscape through its world-class non-gaming offerings,” said Ho at the rally,

Sterne Agee analyst David Bain said in a note that “recent strong stock rally trends are now unlikely to reignite until early Macau Studio City opening results are absorbed.”
