Synectics secures surveillance contract with Macau casino resort


Casino surveillance and security company Synectics PLC has announced its new subsidiary has been awarded a multi-million pound contract to provide an integrated surveillance solution for a new casino resort in Macau, according to a filing at the London Stock Exchange.

The newly incorporated subsidiary company, Synectic Systems (Macau) Limited will deliver an intelligently integrated security and video surveillance system designed around its Synergy 3 command and control platform and HD IP cameras.

Fulfilment of the contract is expected to begin in the next few months and be substantially complete by the end of the financial year.

According to the announcement, Synectics' global gaming sector business is already well established in the Asia Pacific region having provided integrated surveillance solutions for major casino resort and cruise line clients in Manila, Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, Saipan and Macau.

Synectics has recently opened a new office in Macau, which is the latest addition to the Group's global network of sales, support and operations centres.

Paul Webb, Chief Executive of Synectics, said "Our new Macau office will play a crucial role in our continued growth strategy by boosting our ability to offer technical support at a local level. The investment demonstrates our commitment to existing customers and to the Asia Pacific market as a whole."

Synectic shares were reportedly up 3.7% to 119.25 pence on the morning of Thurs Jan. 21.
