Thunderbird Resorts kicks off expansion plans for 2016

Philippines’ Thunderbird Resorts & Casinos, Poro Point held a groundbreaking for an additional 47 villas, marking the first of their expansion plans this year, local media reports.

Held last Friday, the operator also opened two new food and beverage outlets – Ouzo Restaurant and Pianosa Deli Shop.

“The villas, Ouzo, and Pianosa are just the beginning for Thunderbird Resorts & Casinos. We have exciting additions in support of our thrust to building the top resort and casino in the North,” stated Allee Lourdes Sun, chairman and president of Thunderbird Resorts and Casinos.

Attended by the Thunderbird Resorts management and team, government officials and the press, the opening was the first in a long line of expansions including an infinity pool, a beach club – the first in La Union, the extension of Agora Events Center, and the expansion of the Fiesta Casino.

“We are building beyond the brick and mortar establishments, we are here to build dreams – dreams of the builders for their families, dreams of a solid tourism for the province of La Union, dreams of giving our guests the luxury they deserve, and dreams of allowing others to build their own dreams within and outside the property of Thunderbird,” said Angel Sueiro, COO of Thunderbird Resorts and Casinos.
