Tigre de Cristal 9-month net profit gains

The first and only functioning casino in Russia's Primorye gambling zone - Tigre de Cristal - has increased its net profit in the first 9 months of 2018 and its investor is now ready to spend $500 million on the construction of its second stage, according to the Primorye Territory Corporation.

“The revenue of Tigre de Cristal for the first three quarters of 2018 reached $42 million, which is lower than $43 million for the same period in 2017. But the net profit after paying all the relevant taxes showed an increase of $6 million in the first three quarters of this year, compared with $4 million recorded in 2017,” representatives of the Taiwanese investor Firich said.

In addition, for the first 9 months of 2018, the hotel of the Tigre de Cristal complex accommodated 238,005 guests, which is more than in 2017’s 219,233 people. The main stream of guests came from the northern provinces of China, as well as from South Korea and Japan. According to the tourism department of Primorsky Krai, the total number of visitors to the complex was more than 400,000 people.

The company also said that the development of the project for the second phase of the Tigre de Cristal casino resort is in the "final stage".

“With the construction of the second facility, the scale of the entire casino project will be expanded“ three times ”due to the greater number of hotel rooms, recreation facilities and game areas,” the company’s representatives said.

Earlier it was reported that the second phase involved the construction of a hotel, a casino, an indoor beach club and a premium class shopping center with boutiques of top world brands and possible duty-free shopping. The company plans to complete the project in Primorye at the end of 2020 - the beginning of 2021.
