Travellers posts 17Q3 loss, visitation picks up

Philippines-listed Travellers International, operator of Resorts World Manila, reported a loss of P407.9 million for the third quarter of 2017.

The company said the deadly casino attack in June continued to weigh down results.

Gross gaming revenues amounted to P3.6 billion in 17Q3, down 42.8 percent from P6.2 billion in 16Q3. EBITDA amounted to P401.3 million, down 78.5 percent year-on-year.

However, though results were down, Travellers president and CEO Kingson Sian said he was “happy to see guests returning to the property.”
