Universal Entertainment expects strong end to 2016

Okada Manila parent company, Universal Entertainment Corporation has revised its forecasted net income for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2017 to JPY 270.5 billion (US$2.4 billion).

According to the company’s filing on JASDAQ, the revision is a result of strong sales of new models earlier this year, as well as more efficient development and manufacturing processes.

With regards to its newly opened casino in Entertainment City, in the Philippines, the company noted that Okada Manila’s “sales are currently expanding on a daily basis.”

The company said the consolidated earnings of its new casino will be reflected in the next quarter’s earnings report.
