VIP baccarat revenue jumps 35 pct in 17Q3


Macau saw gross revenue from its VIP Baccarat segment rise 35 percent year-on-year in the third quarter of 2017, according to data from the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) released on Monday.

Gross revenue from the VIP segment reached MOP38.7 billion (US$4.8 billion), making up for 57.7 percent of all gaming revenue in the quarter, while mass gaming revenue increased 7.4 percent year-on-year to $28.3 billion.

Comparing to the third quarter of 2016, the latest quarter saw gaming tables grow from 6,304 to 6,449, while the number of slot machines rose from 15,769 to 16,310.
