Virtual sports a winning bet in Asia

One of the biggest developments Betradar made in Asia this year was the launch of their new virtual Asian Cup. The product added to a growing list of virtual sports Betradar offer, including Virtual Football and Virtual Basketball.

Like the company’s successful virtual football World Cup in 2018, the Asian Cup featured the same group and knockout stages as the real-life competition, plus all 24 Asian Cup 2019 teams, with Asian odds visualization, multiple localization options and was available in a range of local languages.

The company’s Managing Director of Gaming, Frank Wenzig says virtual Gaming Solutions continue to grow in popularity across Asia.

“This is one of the reasons why we continue to invest heavily in enhancing and expanding our Gaming Solutions portfolio on an ongoing basis,” Wenzig says.

“We’re seeing a lot of take-up in regions across Asia with our virtual products. It was really good to see the virtual Asian Cup prove popular. Like all of our solutions, the realistic matches, betting markets and competition mechanics create an environment that engages punters and lets them place bets as they do in real sports.

“We’re really looking forward to unveiling our next products in this space, with Virtual Baseball In-Play later this year and Virtual Cricket In-Play next year. As such a diverse and expansive region, it’s really important to offer a product that will appeal to the local market. With baseball big in Japan and cricket big in India, for example, our two new products will be a great way for clients to really engage customers.”

Another reason Betradar’s Gaming Solutions are so successful is because of their focus on reality, both in terms of look and feel and betting experience.

“We maintain a focus on realism across all of our gaming solutions, using high-tech Motion Capture and our comprehensive data from real-live sports to create the most true-to-life virtual gaming possible, Wenzig adds.”

Betradar’s Gaming Solutions are a great way to supplement any licensed sportsbook. They are available as a standalone product or via the company’s Gaming Platform, which provides clients with access to all Betradar’s existing and future virtual sports and gaming products with one single e-wallet integration.
