Walker Digital donates gloves in Covid-19 fight

Walker Digital has donated 80,000 pairs of surgical gloves to help health authorities in Macau combat the spread of the coronavirus.

It was one of several associations announcing the provision of medical supplies to the Health Department, including the Macao Association of International Investment, Dean Gene Co., Ltd of Sun Yat-sen University and Guangzhou Daan Incubator Ltd. who jointly donated 20,000 masks.

“The Special Administrative Government expresses its sincere gratitude to the associations and enterprises that have exerted the effort to find limited resources for the donation to overcome the pandemic,” the government said in a release.

The company joins many of Macau’s operators and suppliers in stepping up corporate social responsibility efforts to help the community. SJM Holdings said it was partnering with community associations this week to assembly care packages of basic necessities for the needy, while Melco Resorts & Entertainment recently said it was donating MOP3 million to buy surgical face masks for the Women's General Association of Macau.
