Women’s group demands offshore casinos removed


The women’s wing of the Goa Forward Party has demanded the removal of offshore casinos from Goa, saying they “affected women,” local media reports.

The Goa Forward Party is a key constituent of the ruling coalition running the Goa state government. Its President Vijai Sardesai is a cabinet minister:
The new wing was launched on Sunday, run by chief Ashma Sayed.

“These casinos should be removed as they are affecting women,” she said.
