Wynn Crystal Pavilion construction due 2021

Wynn Macau says the construction of the Crystal Pavilion at its Wynn Palace on Cotai is expected to begin in late 2021.

In its Q2 results statement, Wynn said the Crystal Pavilion is in the preliminary planning and design stages.

“We expect the Crystal Pavilion will become a unique world-class cultural destination, incorporating an art museum, an immersive theater and interactive installations, an expansive food hall, additional hotel rooms, and several signature entertainment features,” it said.

The company has also began a renovation project for the former Wynn Clubs gaming area at Wynn Macau. The West Casino space will consist of about 40 mass market tables, a refurbished high-limit slot area, two new restaurants and approximately 7,000 square feet of retail space.

Wynn said the upgrades and restaurants should be completed in Q4 of this year and Q1 of the next.

“Additionally, we recently commenced the Encore tower room refresh project in the second quarter of 2019. All 410 rooms in the tower will be refreshed to include replacement of selected furniture and fixtures,” it said.

The project also includes upgrades to the room control system, entry door system and selected lighting upgrades. The Encore Tower Refresh project will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2019 with a budget of about  HK$976.9 million.
