XSG wins Hot Hit product award at G2E Asia

The trio of impressive Mixed Reality (MR) tech demo, award-winning LAN-based gaming systems, and exciting cross-platform casino games dazzled the show audience at G2E Asia 2018.

“Expand Your Business” is the overarching theme of XSG’s exhibition this year, spotlighting the diversity in the company’s product offerings; whether catering to game developers or platform owners, online service providers or land-based operators, XSG assembles and supplies customized solutions complementary to their clients’ business models, thereby expanding their businesses.

The company’s booth was flooded with waves of enthusiastic visitors engrossed with products such as 8-seater fish hunting gaming cabinet “Fishing King EX” and all-in-one gaming parlour management suite “Internet Café Gaming System (LS-02).” The surge of interest surrounding the LS-02 system, in particular, was such that it propelled the product to the top spots on the expo’s Hot Hits Products ranking board, winning XSG the much sought-after “Hot Hit” award. Over the course of three days, other innovative solutions on display included the low-cost, high-return LAN Gaming System (LS-01), exciting cross-platform casino games, live streaming technology, and physical gaming cabinets. The icing on the cake was without a doubt XSG’s showcase of the world's first MR fish hunting game – a culmination of the company’s dedication to R&D and its initiative in bringing the latest technology into the gaming industry.

Founder and CEO Stanley Ku noted that in the nine years since the founding of XSG, R&D had always been a core part of the company. Aside from managing hit products like 08-online and Bravo Casino, which achieved near 100 percent annual growth rate year after year, the company also cultivates its global presence by expanding its network of clients to every corner of the world; it now serves customers in Taiwan, the United States, and many Southeast Asian countries, and is poised to expand its business into Latin American and European markets.

In this year’s show, XSG brought its key products to bear, with offerings such as:

LAN-based solutions: Low upfront investment, rapid setup, automatic updates on monthly hit games: LAN-based gaming systems are XSG’s strategic weapons of choice heading into the international playing field. The company’s senior brand manager Allen Lin explained that, in the US alone, regulations differ from state to state, and XSG's LAN gaming systems are designed precisely to handle this situation: the highly flexible systems elegantly address client needs and concerns at the fundamental level, its ease of use drawing unanimous praises from operators. Add engaging gameplay and high profitability to the formula, and it becomes clear why LAN-based gaming system turned into a huge success in North America, serving some 300 gaming parlours in the US and hitting a record monthly profit of US$400,000 in one particular venue. Ever since they established solid footholds across the US, XSG began making preparations to further cultivate potential markets throughout Latin America and Southeast Asia.

Innovative casino games: Leveraging past experiences from the success of hit games on the 08-online and Bravo Casino iGaming platforms, XSG is taking advantage of the HTML5 framework to deliver innovative cross-platform games and gaming cabinets to the global market. Aside from innovating on the traditional slot games, the company is also diversifying its product portfolio to cover other types of casino games, both mainstream and niche. Its massively popular “Fishing King”, for instance, builds on top of the proven fish hunting formula popular throughout Asia, and was presented with enhanced full HD visuals, 3D rendering technology, and immersive sound effects. At its maximum setting, eight people can play together on the same cabinet to deliver a uniquely engaging social experience. Another featured cabinet product this year is “Football Champion,” the gameplay of which paid tribute to the classics while the aesthetics of which incorporated the beloved theme of international football contests.

iGaming platforms: When it comes to social gaming platforms, XSG is a proven market leader. Their flagship platform, 08-online, has consistently topped the charts in terms of both downloads and revenue for Taiwan’s Google Play Store and App Store, bringing in NT$1.7 billion (approx. US$ 56 million) in a single year. Offering over 70 games spread across five genres, the platform is a surefire choice for European and American gaming giants who are looking to distribute their games across the Asian market. Furthermore, XSG has also developed professional live gaming technology for operators in Japan, which can stream live videos to multiple platforms and support real-time bidding across multiple tables.

Game of the Future – Mixed Reality Fishing King: XSG debuted the world's first MR fish hunting game this year in Macau. Visitors put on high-tech HMDs and instantaneous found themselves immersed in a virtual aquatic world, where they proceeded to hunt fishes via simple hand gestures. “Although this game has not yet been finalized for the market, we are optimistic about future trends in the fusion of gaming and high-end technology,” explained Allen. “Our heavy investments into R&D help us stay on the forefront of the latest developments within the industry, and we believe this is crucial in charting a path forward into brand-new gaming territories.”

Harnessing nearly a decade of experience in game development, algorithm design, player preference analysis, and R&D investments, XSG continues to sharpen its competitive edge in providing innovative gaming software and services. The company expects to premier its line of physical slot machines in the second half of 2018, targeting tier 1 casinos around the world. By applying innovative technology to the future trends in gaming, the Taiwanese company is poised to make a lasting impact on the global gaming stage.
