Adelson accused of seeking to pressure Edmund Ho

Steve Jacobs, the former head of Las Vegas Sands operations in Macau who is suing the company for wrongful termination, alleged that Sands chairman Sheldon Adelson sought to put improper pressure on Edmund Ho, then chief executive of the Macau government. Frustrated with impediments to the company's plan to sell units in a Four Seasons serviced apartment tower, Adelson told Jacobs to remind Ho "that he owed Adelson" because of an earlier $40 million legal settlement, according to Jacobs' filing in his lawsuit. Jacbos considered this an improper threat and declined to proceed, the filing said. Adelson denied Jacobs' allegations.

Separately, a Nevada judge rejected Sands' attempt to dismiss a lawsuit by Hong Kong businessman Richard Suen who alleges the company did not fulfill promises to pay him for help in winning its Macau gaming concession in 2002.
