AIGF successfully hosts the inaugural ‘Pro Series’ event


Online gaming industry body, the All India Gaming Federation (AIGF) hosted the first ‘Pro Series’ on Sept 4, 2018 at Deltin Royale, Goa.

According to the AIGF, the event has kicked-started a series of initiatives aimed at creating awareness about online skill gaming in India.

The first edition of AIGF Pro Series was specific to Poker and comprised of a masterclass involving some of India’s best Poker Pros including Nikita Luther, Kunal Patni & Aditya Agarwal.

The event was flagged off by a welcome address delivered by Manish J Adnani, business head (Poker), Delta Corp.

This was followed by an introduction to the AIGF Pro Series as an extension to their Skill Games Charters by Roland Landers, CEO, AIGF.  
Poker has experienced exponential growth in the number of operators as well as the players in India. However, as with other online skill games, there still exists some ambiguity regarding the various skills required to succeed.

Addressing this, an exclusive session on ‘Introduction to Poker and Game theory Learning’ was taken by Poker Pros, Nikita Luther & Kunal Patni from Adda52 & Poker Sports League.

Aditya Agarwal, Poker Pro from Team PokerStars touched upon the important subject of mental fitness which is a pre-requisite for the Game of Poker. Further there was a session on Bankroll Management which was handled by Madhav Gupta of Baadshah Gaming where tips and techniques were shared on the importance of being funded and avoiding lean spells while playing Poker. Sudhir Kamat from 9Stacks highlighted the relevance of physical fitness in Poker. This was followed up with a Q&A session with the representatives from the media fraternity present at the event.
Pro Series also facilitated a practical session for the audience at the event.

The Pro Series follows the launch of AIGF’s Skill Games Charters,aimed at creating a responsible, transparent and a fair skill gaming environment in India.
