Asia Gaming Brief launches AGB Webinar Series

After months in the making, Asia Gaming Brief is excited to announce the launch of its AGB Webinar Series, with the first installment set for the second week of April.

The COVID-19 pandemic is reshaping the way in which people are doing business and connecting with one another. Some elements of our lives will never be the same again and, as an industry, we need to stay ahead of the curve and think outside the box to overcome the current crisis.

Over the last few months, we’ve seen the postponement and cancellation of thousands of conferences and exhibitions all over the world, including our own ASEAN Gaming Summit, which has moved to 22-23 September 2020 in Manila.

However, there will always be a need to connect with our industry’s brightest minds, to network with our peers and to exchange ideas that lead to solutions. AGB Webinars, which are free-to-attend, will aim to achieve exactly this.

The first of our Webinar Series will be held on 9 April, 2020, at 10pm (HKT), and will feature Futurist and Thought-Leader, Earle Hall of AXES Network, who will be discussing how business and consumer behavior will change following COVID-19.

If the coronavirus becomes seasonal, similar to the common flu, its implications will be disastrous. Will work-from-home setups become the new normal? Will handshakes become a thing of the past? Earle discusses what the world may look like post-COVID-19.

The second Webinar will take a look at the recovery of tourism and in particular the key Chinese tourism segment. What can we learn from the SARS and MERS outbreaks, what are the indicators pointing to a resurgence in travel, and how should we ramp up our offerings when the time comes?

The AGB Webinar Series is free to attend - to join, simply register ahead of time. For more information on upcoming events, please see our constantly-updating schedule of webinars on our events page.

"As the industry finds creative ways to deal with the challenges presented by this unprecedented crisis, AGB intends to lead the community in a series of discussions as to how to overcome the obstacles that lie ahead," said Luis Pereira, managing director of Asia Gaming Brief. The Webinar Series is "one of the ways that AGB hopes to contribute to the industry's recovery while supporting the gaming community," he added.
