Bloomberry Resorts gets Pagcor license for Solaire

Bloomberry Resorts and Hotels said it has obtained a regular gaming license from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp for its Solaire Resort and Casino in Manila.

In a filing with the Philippine Stock Exchange, the company said its indirect wholly owned unit BRHI had applied for the regular license last April  after Solaire began operating in March.

It was the second gaming license issued by Pagcor this week after it approved the application of Melco Crown for its City of Dreams Manila integrated resort, which had its gala opening in February after a soft launch in late 2014.

Two other integrated casino applications are awaiting approval: The Manila Bay Resorts property belonging to Tiger Resorts & Entertainment, a subsidiary of Japan-based Universal Entertainment Corp., and the Resorts World Bayshore property of Travellers International Hotel Group, a joint venture of Alliance Global Group and Genting Hong Kong.
