Budget for Melco Studio City film to hit $70 mln

The budget for Melco Crown International’s film to advertise its new Studio City resort complex on Cotai totals $70 million, with the three Hollywood actors involved each earning $13 million, the New York Post reported, citing sources.
The short film, which will be launched to coincide with the casino opening, was directed by Martin Scorsese and starred Brad Pitt, Robert De Niro and Leonardo Di Caprio. Boardwalk Empire creator Terence Winter wrote the script.
Studio City, a new cinematically-themed integrated resort designed to appeal to a new target demographic, remains on track to open in mid-2015.
