Casino entry ban enforced through randomized checks

The casino worker entry ban will not be enforced through facial recognition technology, instead, through random checks on casino staff, it has been revealed.

According to the chairman of the First Standing Committee, Ho Ion Sang, an inspector will be appointed by the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) to perform these randomized checks.

Any chips or other items seized from staff affected by the ban will become the property of the Macau SAR government, he added.

It will also be possible for third parties to make reports, said Ho.

Ho said that the draft proposal will go to the Legislative Assembly (AL) for detailed review in December.
