Casino pay and staffing rise together

 

The number of workers employed in Macau's gaming industry, excluding junket operators, rose 9.2 percent to 54,835 at the end of 2012 from a year earlier, according to government data. Average monthly pay for full-time staff reached 18,040 patacas ($2,208), up 7.9 percent. Companies in the sector reported 2,144 vacancies, down by 130, and the hiring of 2,838 staff during the fourth quarter. The staff turnover rate declined 2.8 percentage points to 3.8 percent
