Lottery sales in mainland China saw a decrease of 9.4 percent year on year, to RMB22.5 billion (US$3.5 billion), according to recent figures released from the country’s Ministry of Finance.

Welfare lottery sales went down 5.2 percent to RMB12.3 billion in February compared to the year before, and sports lottery dropped 14.1 percent to RMB1.7 billion.
