CORRECTED: Star Vegas EBITDA up 20 percent in FY2015

Donaco International's Star Vegas Resort and Club in Poipet, Cambodia, reported earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of $58.2 million for the 2015 fiscal year, up 20 percent from $48.5 million in FY2014.

The casino's financial performance was driven by a 69 percent increase in rolling chip turnover on table games over the 12 months ending June 2015, amounting to $3.87 million.

Gross revenue from VIP table games increased 54 percent to $103.7 million, while revenues from table games and slot machines rose 21 percent and 11 percent, respectively.

Donaco said significant business growth was driven by factors, which included the success of Star Vegas’ marketing initiatives in attracting additional VIP players, along with ongoing improvements in highway infrastructure connecting Poipet with the greater Bangkok area.

The Star Vegas became part of the Donaco group on July , 2015. The property’s results will not be included in Donaco’s unaudited accounts for FY15.
