Crown appoints Alan McGregor as CFO

Crown Resorts said it has appointed long-term finance executive Alan McGregor as its new chief financial officer. 

The appointment is subject to the receipt of any necessary regulatory approvals. During his 15 years with the Crown group, McGregor has held a number of senior financial positions and in 2014 was appointed Chief Financial Officer – Australian Resorts. 

“I am delighted that Alan McGregor has agreed to take on the role of Chief Financial Officer of Crown. His deep technical experience along with his experience in the hospitality, gaming and entertainment industries strongly align with this role,” said Ken Barton, Crown’s CEO. “Alan will play a key role in supporting the board and me in implementing Crown’s strategy and I look forward to working with him.”

The appointment follows management changes announced in January that saw Barton, who had been in the CFO role, named as group CEO. The Australian operator also announced Helen Coonan was appointed as chair and non-executive director John Horvath was appointed as deputy chair.
